Every year at Rock Camp, girls between the ages of nine and sixteen will receive instruction on guitar, bass, drums or vocals. Each camper will become part of a band, learn how to write songs, and perform in front of a live audience at the end of camp showcase. Campers also take part in various workshops that relate to body image, self-esteem, and empowerment.

The need for a program like this in our own city is evident. As a result, the idea of Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls in Indianapolis is a reality. In a city that has historically embraced music as a form of self-expression and creativity, the excitement and enthusiasm for a program such as this is overwhelming. Girls Rock! Indianapolis not only expands our message of empowerment and self-esteem through music, but also provides inspiration, encouragement and unity for women musicians in our community.
